I've also faced the same problem. But I've a work around. for the pwlib package downloaded find the checksum and then replace the checksum given in checksums file with the new one.

I'm "compiling" garnome-2.16 at last. Everything is ok, but pwlib
package fails in checksum work. How can I solve this? Is not there any
other version or any other repository to download it so that checksum
