Xkb problem

Hi, I have compiled Garnome 2.14.0 on ArchLinux and it went pretty
smoothly (besides some missing dependencies which I installed from
bootstrap)

But I cannot add layout in Keyboard preferences and when I mess with
preferences (trying to swap Control and Caps Lock, like just now)  I get
twice a dialog with:

"Error activating XKB configuration.    
...

----------------------------------------


And here's what report xprop & gconftool.

$ xprop -root | grep XKB
