My mistake; I thought the '2.4' related to the version of Python :) I
should have nabbed
ftp://xmlsoft.org/libxml2/python/libxml2-python-2.6.9.tar.gz instead,
since it works fine.

BTW, this isn't to do with PyXML; it might well be needed, but it
doesn't provide 'libxml2'
in python land !
