Running hald (error spawning hald-probe-smbios)

Hi.
Running garnome-2.12 on FC4. Everything seems fine so far, except for
hald (and, consequently gnome-volume-manager doesn't work):
I kill the fc4-native dbus and hal daemons, then manage to run the
garnome dbus ("sudo garnome/bin/dbus-daemon --system" -- I verified that
the daemon doesn't die). Then:

  sudo garnome/sbin/hald --verbose=yes --daemon=no
