adding .lang files to gtksourceview

Hi,
I would like to add a .lang file to the language specifications of 
libgtksourceview. The website gtksourceview does says where you have to 
copy the file, but does not say how you have to register the new file. 
The authors do not aswer questions, so I hope somebody here knows how to 
do this.
