problem building gnome-pilot; WAS: Met a problem: Unterminated `s' command.

This particular problem seems to be related to the configure script
failing to extract the pilot-link version info properly -- they're
catching a bunch of crap and throwing it all into PILOT_LINK_VERSION.
Explicitly setting that to be "0.12.0-pre2" in configure allows "make
configure" to run, but "make install" fails. Anyway, another problem:
