The 2.10.0.x versions are for fixing issues mainly, to provide a GNOME
Desktop as much polished as possible. New versions normally are
introduced in 2.10.x versions.

That said, it likely will not be updated for 2.10.0.2. FWIW, we are
already pretty far in this cycle, and bumping versions in the last
minute isn't a good idea for a stable Desktop.


However, updating packages you really care about yourself (even prior to
the build) is pretty easy:

* Run 'make clean' for that garball if you did build it before.
* Edit the garball's Makefile to include the new GARVERSION and remove
  the PATCHFILES line if necessary.
* Update the 'checksum' file either manually or by running
  'make makesum'.

Handy make targets beside the usual clean and install ones:
  fetch, makesum, garchive, configure
