A yet unseen error every day... Joy. ;)

Is this a 2.6.x kernel? IIRC hal will not build on older kernels.

Removing g-v-m will solve this and should not result in any issues at
all. There is no other app depending on g-v-m.

To remove g-v-m simply remove the directory desktop/gnome-volume-manager
and continue the build by running the command you used in the first
place [1]. GARNOME will pick up the build where it left off, which in
this case is whatever comes after g-v-m. :)
