Dear Paul,
While compiling the 2.11 snapshot or 2.10 from 10th of June I always
seem to get an issue with GTK+. I've never seen this error appear before:
checking compiler support for MMX... yes
checking for freetype-config... /usr/local/bin/freetype-config
checking For sufficiently new FreeType (at least 2.0.1)... yes
configure: error: Xft Pango backend is required for x11 target
make[2]: *** [configure-work/main.d/gtk+-2.6.7/configure] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/usr/download/garnome-2.11-20050610.1755/platform/gtk+'
make[1]: *** [../../platform/gtk+/cookies/main.d/install] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/usr/download/garnome-2.11-20050610.1755/platform/GConf'
make: *** [paranoid-install] Error 2
I would like to see if the 2.11 development snapshot now works with gcc
4.0.0 (living dangerously) as well. Is there anything that could be done
to resolve this error ?
Cheers,
Stef

...and the first bug :)
Anyone who downloaded today's 2.11 snapshot, may want to download
20050610.1755, which contains the iso-codes application in bootstrap/
(required to build epiphany, and suggested by totem and
geektoys/thoggen)
