Hi Everybody!
I am very excited about the progress I made today. You see, this is my
sixth attempted install of Garnome-stable on SuSE Pro 9.2. I keep
running into 'hiccups' which require lots of Googling and mining of the
list archives, but every time I've found what I needed and each attempt
has proceeded further than the previous one. Today it ran so long I
thought I'd made it. Unfortunately, that's not the case and neither
Google nor the archives are helping.
The compiling of gst-plugins-0.8.7 is not cooperating, as follows:
...
grep: /usr/lib/libmp4v2.la: no such file or directory
/usr/bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/libmp4v2.la: no such file or directory
libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libmp4v2.la' is not a valid libtool archive
make[6]: ***[libgstfaac.la] Error 1
I've got the faad2 package (rpm) from http://packman.links2linux.com
which gives me libmp4v2.so and related files, but it appears I'm missing
a libtool archive (and I don't know how to make one, either.)
Any help clearing this latest hurdle would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
- - Carl
