libgda / mergeant issues

Somewhere between libdga-1.2.0 and libgda-1.3.0 

	./libgda/gda-field.[ch]

have gone missing. 

Without these files, merchant-0.52 will not build because of undeclared
identifiers.


Questions:

	Were these files intentionally removed from the libgda source?
	If so, what is the workaround for building mergeant?
