Seems, you are missing the X extension devel files. On my distro it's in
libxfree86-devel, but as you are running debian, it will be something
like *-dev.
hmm. xlibs-dev is installed already (Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12)... Any
other thoughts here?
apt-get install libxext-dev ;)
yep - got that too, :) as well as all these:
dev1:~/garnome-2.10.0.1/desktop# apt-cache search libxext
libxext-dev - X Window System miscellaneous extension library
development files
libxext6 - X Window System miscellaneous extension library
libxext6-dbg - X Window System miscellaneous extension library (unstripped)
libxtst6 - X Window System event recording and testing extension library
xlibs-dbg - X Window System unstripped client libraries dummy package
xlibs-dev - X Window System client library development files dummy package
But still fails with the orginal error. any futher?
Thanks!!!!!!
Simon
