Epiphany Build Fails Against Mozilla 1.7.3

Epiphany 1.40 is failing to build against Mozilla 1.7.3 on an updated
Slackware 10 machine.  I understand that this is a known issue.  An
earlier post here included a patch, recommending it be placed in
"files/" and added to "PATCHLIST".  Neither of those exist in the
Epiphany directory here, however.

Is there a way to fix this?
