installation difficulties

Hello everyone!

Considering the amount of work it looked like a Gnome 2.8 install from 
source would be, I opted to try out Garnome to update to 2.8 from 
slackware 10's included gnome 2.6. I've been at it for over a day now, 
between downloading problems and errors of various types. I just want 
the new version of Gnome desktop!

So anyways, this one has me stumped. Can anyone shed some light? (output 
is below)
