Well I guess this was discussed recently. You need krb5 (or heimdal) packages.
I bet you miss something like "krb5-libs" or "krb5-devel" or something like
that. You should try to look your available packages. If you use Mandrake, you
can use its builtin tool (rpmdrake?); for other distros there should be some
native graphical package-maintenance tool as well.
If you use Debian:
libkrb5-dev - Headers and development libraries for MIT Kerberos
so you just
apt-get install libkrb5-dev
> checking for ldap_open in -lldap... yes
> checking for ldap_ntlm_bind... yes
> checking for Kerberos 5... no
> configure: error: Could not find krb5. Install krb5 or heimdal packages.

p.s. I guess the dependency for kerberos libraries is mentioned in Garnome's
"prerequisites" list...
