Hi,

I'm using
CONFIGURE_ARGS = $(DIRPATHS) --with-xkb-base=/usr/openwin/lib/X11/xkb

on Solaris.

You need to check out the right path for your distro and give it to
CONFIGURE_ARGS. For some reason, it is not ok by default.
Hint: try to look for directory named xkb.

find /usr -name xkb -type d

should be enough, if you have X server in /usr
