+This is a typical Linux<->Solaris issue.

+Don't know if the original poster was building with garnome, I do
+suspect that.

+Linux use the GNU versions of tar, md5sum, diff, grep, find, patch etc.
+Solaris use the SUN versions.

+As a Solaris user running garnome, for each and every new version,
+these filenames (ya, ya, program-names) must be changed in order to
+build garnome, so that we use the GNU versions during the make.

+I wrote a little mail on the garnome-list 5:th of Jan 2004, where I
+kindly asked for an easy fix of this issue, simply add a few lines of
+definitions in gar.conf.mk, and the use the defined words in the other
