garnome and CD playing?

Hi,

Does anyone have any advice on how to get the CD player to work with the
latest version of gnome compiled/installed with garnome 2.5.9?

I'm running on a SuSE system, and it works a treat through KDE, but
KDE sucks - otherwise I wouldn't be here :)
