Hi,

Please double check, that:

> export PATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH PYTHONPATH PKG_CONFIG_PATH GDK_USE_XFT 
> XDG_DATA_DIRS

this line MUST be a single line. Not two lines.
I've had exactly the same problem. XDK_DATA_DIRS wrapped on the second
line and shell was confused and exited.
