What to do?

I've got a very up-to-date garnome-0.21.2. Each time a new package is
uploaded to the ftp server, I download and update my garnome. With the
release of garnome-0.22.0 I checked the 2.2.1 release of gnome I there
were two files that I hadn't got the latest version of (scroolkeeper and
gdm)

Is it worth going through the build of garnome-0.22.0 or am I wasting my
time and basically there anyway?

If it's worth doing, should I do the build in a new directory?
Or is it safe(ish) to build into my current garnome directory?

I've wondered this with each upgrade and thought it was time to ask.

Lest we forget...

"They disembarked in 45,
And no one spoke and no one smiled,
There were too many spaces in the line.
 And Gathered at the cenotaph,
All agreed with hand on heart,
 To sheath the sacrificial knives.

"But now...
 She stands upon Southampton Dock
With her handkerchief, and her summer frock
That clings to her wet body in the rain.
 In quiet desperation
Knuckles white upon the slippery reins,
She bravely waves the boys goodbye again"
