new panel behaviour

Morning

the behaviour of the panels seems to have changed. I always use
autohide. up until now it used disappear vertically, keeping 3 or 4
pixels visible on the whole bottom of the screen, now if moves
completely in a corner (left or right), can I somehow get the original
behaviour back?
