 After checking again LD_LIBRARY_PATH has no effect on the fonts - I
 must have accidentally run /usr/bin/epiphany instead of the garnome

+Are you using the same font face/size in mozilla/epiphany ?
+The problem about not being able to select more fonts is fixed in 0.8.0
