Perhaps I was not specific enough in my last email..clearly!! :)
I hope someone can help me, cause i'm trying for a few days now to compile 
garnome, but with very bad results.

What I do is the following:

I download the latest version of garnome : 0.21.2
I unpack and untar the file at ~/downloads/garnome/garnome-0.21.2
I than go to ~/downloads/garnome/garnome-0.21.2/meta/gnome-desktop
I type make install (not as root)
after a while, guessing about one hour, the process stops, saying to me:

So I went to the directory 
~/downloads/garnome/garnome-0.21.2/gnome/librsvg/work/main.d/librsvg-2.2.3>
typed in: ./configure en got the following results back

Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gdk-pixbuf-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gdk-pixbuf-2.0' found

Do I need to adjust the pkg-config search path? How why? Or is it something 
else?
