Ran Garnome to update Gnome, now what?

I read the manuals, but it doesn't seem to be so clear on what to do.  I ran 
Garnome, it took ages, but finally seems to have completed.  I imagine I have 
to edit some file somewhere to allow me to log into the new Gnome?  I have a 
RH 8 box.  Sorry if I'm missing instructions somewhere.
