garnome-0.21.2/mozilla - configure gets invoked in the wrong directory

FYI:
Building mozilla fails with
"./configure not such file or dir....blah"
Configure gets invoked under work/mozilla but it is in
work/main.d/mozilla.

I fixed it by symlinking - I like symlinks - work/main.d/mozilla ->
work/mozilla.
It should be fixed by invoking configure in the right dir.
