Re: Running Garnome session as a user other than Root

Hi,

> c) If you've already done the doozy and installed GARNOME as root

Unfortunately, I did install GARNOME as root (before I knew not to) ...
but I don't really want to settle with just changing the permissions of
the root GARNOME to be able to use it with other users ... I would like
to just rebuild GARNOME as my user--the problem is when I tried to do
this, it doesn't really install GARNOME again. (I'm trying to just
install the "gnome-desktop" like my root account has.) Instead, it just
makes the necessary folders like: bin/ etc/ include/ ... but doesn't
actually put anything inside of the folders like my root GARNOME
account! I don't understand what I need to do to make it rebuild
GARNOME as my user--I don't really want to have to download all of the
stuff I did earlier, I figured I could just rebuild GARNOME, but it
doesn't seem to work. Thanks for any help for my errors.

ps, if there is not really a good way to do this (i.e. I'd have to start
from scratch again to rebuild GARNOME as my user) then I will probably
just change the root's permissions for my user. But hopefully there is
a better way.
