Unknown cause of errors

Hi,

I have started installing Gnome 2.0.2 with garnomne 0.16.2 using
.../meta/gnome-desktop/ make install
Before this I have proved that all libaries, as listed on the
garnome-website, are installed. After about 4 hours of installing the
process stops with the following error-message:

I changed to the applets-directory to rebuilt with make clean ; make
install and got the following message:

I cannot find any hint on missing libaries. I d not know the exact
meaning of install-recursive, too.
Is there any way to continue and install the applets after finishing the
installation with garnome?

If somebody has any explanation or idea on these error-messages I would
be happy and thankful to read them.
