Compiling KDE 3.0.3 with garnome

Hi,
I compiled kde using garnome but I don't get amy mime
types installed. Due to this, nothing seems to work on
the desktop. I get some error from kioslave etc...also
there are no menu items appearing on tke 'K' menu!
