Pango doesn't build

Im' ruinning a Slackware 8.0 with Xfree 4.1
I've just downloaded all the Gnome 2.0.1 tarballs and I'm using garnome 
0.13.1
This is the error I get:

I've already read something in the archive about freetype but usually 
they consider the package freetype itself and the errors were different 
anyway.Here it seems that the problem could be the headers of XFree or  
am I wrong?
Is there a solution?
