Re: garnome-list digest, Vol 1 #201 - 3 msgs



I can't speak for anyone else, but I actually do use the kde garnome
release.  However, I must admit, I don't use either the kde or gnome
parts for testing and development.  I just use them because garnome is
by FAR the easiest way to install either kde or gnome and is obviously
extremely up to date.

I don't think using garnome for non-testing is bold at all.  Like I
said, this thing is even easier than the ximian installer, and more
selfcontained.  I can just delete one directory and everything is gone. 
I may be getting a little in front of the cart here, but it seems to me
that this is a perfect tool for beginners and experts alike.  Where else
can you type 'make install' watch braveheart and then have your desktop
ready to go.  Truly incredible.  Just some thoughts.
