Thanks, I "upgraded" from Freetype 2.1.0 to 2.0.9, and it solved my
problem beautifully!!!  You've been a great help.  With any luck, the
rest of the build will finish without incident.  

I got a bit confused about the way Garnome built the code.  I thought
the compiles were referencing the garnome-built libraries, but I guess
the fact that freetype was a pre-requirement made it a bit
different.(D'oh!)
