Re: moving the garnome directory



Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately could not get it to work.
I had compiled the whole thing once using $HOME/garnome as root. AND it
is my intention not to recompile but rather install elsewhere. Is the
value of the prefix variable compiled into the programs? 

What follows did not work!

I've modified the following line in gar.conf.mk

prefix ?= /opt/garnome

Remember I HAD COMPILED THE WHOLE THING ONCE using $HOME/garnome as
root.

Then I issued

[root localhost gnome-desktop]# cd meta/gnome-desktop
[root localhost gnome-desktop]# make install
	[fetch] complete.  Finished rules: pre-everything download pre-fetch

BUT, I got nothing installed in /opt/garnome
I am surely missing something!!
