It was like that. here is the snip of the gconf file

Here ---------------------------
# Now see where users want us to look - basically the user can stick
arbitrary
# sources in a ~/.gconf.path file and they're inserted here
include "$(HOME)/.gconf.path"

# Give users a default storage location, ~/.gconf

xml:readwrite:$(HOME)/.gconf
---------------------------

Of the file path in
/opt/garnome/etc/gconf/2
(so my prefix is /opt)

Is there any command to see if it is actually loading the file?
~/.gconf does exist, but ~/.gconf.path doesnt.
Am i supposed to create it, or should gconf have automatically created
it?
