AA in gnome-terminal?

I saw this screen-shot today:

Looking at the ldd output and that ss, it looks like gnome-terminal is
AA-enabled. I'm running GARNOME 0.12.2 on a RedHat 7.3 box and almost
everything is doing AA fine. Except... and you were expecting an
"except," weren't you? Except for gnome-terminal. I can go to the
preferences for the current profile and there's a lot of fonts listed.
Some of these fonts actually work with gnome-terminal (such as "letter
gothic (hp)"), but most don't. None of the fonts are anti-aliased.
Just to be sure, I took a look at them with xmag.
Any idea on how to get gnome-terminal to do AA?
Thanks,
pete
