Ok, simply put that in a file called /etc/gdm/Sessions/Garnome (or
possibly /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions/Garnome, e.g., on RedHat)
Do

chown root.root /etc/gdm/Sessions/Garnome
chmod  755 /etc/gdm/Sessions/Garnome

Then log out. At the gdm login screen choose Garnome as session.

Also put export PATH=$HOME/garnome/bin:$PATH in your .bashrc or
.bash_profile
