Re: help on starting garnome



I haven't figured that either, but I found a so-so alternative.  When I
login with GDM I select "failsafe xterm" (instead of GNOME).  This will
give you an xterm with no window manager and no gnome.

Then I run the following script:

#!/bin/sh

export PATH=$HOME/garnome/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/garnome/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export GDK_USE_XFT=1
$HOME/garnome/bin/gnome-session &


Try it.
