* GKeyFile
 - The stricter syntax checks introduced in 2.12.5 have 
   been reduced to warnings for the 2.12 series
 
* GSlice
 - The slice allocator has gained address validation that
   can be activated with the environment variable
   G_SLICE=debug-blocks
 - The allocator emits a warning if it detects too late
   thread initialization
