GNOME Foundation needs your support

During 2004, GNOME Foundation made great progress, not only in providing
enterprise desktop software, but in helping build digital inclusion in
developing countries such as India, China and Brazil. In Sao Paulo
alone, there are now 400,000 users of GNOME at community telecenters
located in the poorest neighborhoods of the city.

Contributions from our "Friends of GNOME" help the foundation bring
GNOME to the users around the world and organize educational activities.

This fall, GNOME Foundation sponsored its first free-to-all two day
Forum GNOME to train developers and telecenter teachers in Brazil. We
were able to distribute free copies of the Official GNOME 2 Developers
Manual to libraries and universities in Brazil, too. The 5th annual
GUADEC (GNOME Users and Developers European Conference) in Norway
included participants from 30 countries with subsidized travel for
delegates from several countries. The foundation also organized a free
three day GNOME Summit at MIT.

Support from individuals and companies helps the foundation to
continue providing resources and promoting GNOME.

You can help GNOME in the new year by making a donation now to Friends
of GNOME. Contributions can be made on-line, via PayPal, at
