Daniel is correct here. We announced closure of nominations, as per the
published election rules (available at http://foundation.gnome.org)
shortly after the 2001-11-08 23:59 UTC deadline.

If you have serious objections to this, I'd advise you to contact
elections gnome org and/or board gnome org - but since Lesley herself
has not followed-up your nomination, this may not be an issue.

On a personal note I think Lesley would have been an excellent candidate
too. One of the reasons self-nominations are appropriate in these
elections is that this is a volunteer organisation, its hard for us to
presume of other peoples willingness or free-time to perform the board
role (which is not a trivial task as the current board will testify).

Please don't hesitate to follow this up at the above addresses if you
feel there are unresolved issues here.
