What's the actual licensing-related problem with GNOME/Apache
integration, and is there a specific proposal for addressing it? The
advertising clause went away in version 1.1 of the Apache license:
http://www.apache.org/LICENSE.txt
The only other issue I've heard mentioned is a concern regarding section
5 (derivative works are prohibited from using the name "Apache"). (As I
recall, the alternative proposed was to have section 5 simply state that
the license conveys no rights to use the Apache name and logo.)
