If I recall correctly, the inital statement we posted to everyone said
"oversee the formation of the GNOME Foundation", not "bootstrap". So
again, I think this is exactly the right body to be announcing it's
formation.

And as I said before, I don't think it's appropriate for us to claim
to speak for the whole GNOME project (this is one of the problems we
are trying to address in forming a foundation).

But I don't think it's that big a deal.
