Adding Tamil Unicode support to Bitstream Vera Fonts

Hi,

What is the procedure to add Tamil Unicode support  to
Vera Fonts. When i viewed the Unicode subrange for
tamil(0B80-0BFF), i found that it's totally empty in
the beta version.  Tamil  Unicode chart  can be seen
in this page
http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0B80.pdf.

There are some GPLed Tamil fonts available with  Tamil
Unicode range implemented in it. Pango supports Tamil
rendering beautifully.  If only  Tamil range is
supported in Bitstream Vera, then tamil support will
be available in every Linux distribution.  GPLed
