I have installed dev packages based on what's indicated on the F-Spot page  
( http://is.gd/cU6tg ) are the ones needed, but I may of course have  
missed some. Or are you suggesting I install all dev packages available in  
my distro?

I wish there were a PPA available for F-Spot, but I will try to figure  
this out anyway. Thanks!
