Pat,
I haven't had a chance to do that picture specifically but I did a simple test off a Rebel XT and did not seem to have any problems other than the file having the wrong date.
I will do more extensive tests tonight but if anyone can provide any configuration details about their camera as it relates to the pictures they are taking when they have problems that would be great. It may be a specific issue with a setting.

So, I've tried out the latest in TagLib fixes, and it definitely helps for the sample as attached in bugzilla. However, as I noted in the bug, it still chokes in a similar way on other files. I've updated the bug with details.
