no, but there's a request for that at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166038
I'm using F-Spot 0.4.2 (bundled in ubuntu 8.04 LTS). *.AVI files
generated from my camera are automatically imported by F-Spot together
with *.JPGs. As you mentioned AVIs are not handled/displayed by F-Spot
(I can find them under Photos/ but cannot see them from F-Spot), so it
is quite useless to store them under Photos/.
Is it safe to move those *.AVI files elswhere from outside F-Spot,
e.g., using "mv" (filesystem-side)? I guess it's not since there
should be some references of *.AVIs inside photos.db that should be
handled first. So, which is the safe way to (re)move those files away
from F-Spot?
Since F-Spot does no handle videos I'd like to keep them in a separate
place, but import takes all.
Thanks,
Emanuele
