I'm sorry, but it still doesn't work. I didn't have the chance to try
it until now, that's why this answer comes so delayed after Lorenzo's
answer :)

I'm still getting the same error (whole output stdout+stderr in
attached file "fspot_autogen.txt"):

I already installed the package gtk-sharp2 from
https://launchpad.net/~ruben/+archive (the whole list of mono
installed packages can be found in the attached file mono_pkgs.txt):
    $ dpkg -l | grep gtk-sharp2

               GTK# 2.10 suite, CLI bindings for GTK+

I'd really like to update the patch that I once wrote for the bug
166038 (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166038), but with
such a blocking error I can't even test it :-S I hope that somebody
can help me to get over this error, thank you in advance for your
help!
