your patch is ok, but probably won't be committed, as it's quite
confusing to have that extra fullscreen mode, but I'll definitely
experiment with the idea...

on small laptop screen, choose a small window decoration and auto-hide
your toolbars :)

but don't get me wrong, am quite concerned too by wasting those 50px of
vertical screen estate. 5 years ago, everyone had a 1280x1024 screen at
least, and nowadays the minimum is more 1280x800... definitely not
following the Moore Law...
