Adding tooltips to tag icons in IconView

Hi,

I have quickly browsing through the code in order to determine if it 
would be possible to add tooltips for each tag icon below the images in 
IconView, but apparently that can't be done since the icons are rendered 
 onto the BinWindow [1].

Am I correct in assuming that it is not possible to "easily" add tool 
tips to these icons? If so, how about adding a tooltip containing the 
list of tags when hovering the tag icon-row?
