I want sometimes to convert some of my cr2 files into jpg for sending by mail or something like that. I have used gimp but I can't seem to get so

cr2 too jpg and or is there any way to get the same result with any
command line tool or any other tool with not too much effort!

Look into tools like ufraw (it has a batch commandline mode) and dcraw (upon which ufraw is based)
