I will try to fix this patch a bit according to Larrys coding "rules",
which I am sure this patch do not conform to.
But I do not have to much time for the moment, but will try to fix this
in November anyway.

If anyone have any comments on this patch please let me know and I will
try to incorporate them as well. 
Larry, did you have a chance to look at this patch (or sorry, zip file
or?
